Wow,
how time flies, its 2009 which means its almost my second birthday!
Yipiee!
So much to write about since my last update, as it's been Christmas. Uncle Nick, or Rick as I call him, and Auntie Emma came to visit with Grandma Choc Choc. Great Grandma and Great Granddad came to see me on boxing day. Nanna, Granddad, Uncle Mark and Great Nanna came for new year and all of them spoilt me rotten!
I'd go on and list all the presents I got but I'm sure your not reading this for lists! However I do want to thank all of you who sent me or brought me a present whatever it was, I really am a lucky girl.
The picture you can see is me getting all excited when we had to make a bed downstairs for Great Granddad to sleep on as he wasn't very well when he visited. I thought it was for me until Daddy pointed out that it would be silly for me to sleep downstairs when my bedroom is upstairs! Think I might move out of the cot and into my bed, though not until Mummy and Daddy move some furniture around first. It definitely would be nice to be sleeping in a real bed before my birthday next month.
Everyone keeps saying how well my speech is coming on, and Mummy and Choc Choc keep on mentally ticking off achievements that I have made from various skill sets or whatever guidelines they have set for the nurseries they work at. Honestly sometimes I do feel that the pressure is on, but thankfully I have Daddy's ability to just ignore the pressure and get on with it! Though for those of you who really do want to know, my vocab is somewhere around 50-75 discernable words, I know the major colours, have a concept of numbers and am starting to learn to count, can identify many different animals and am able to follow simple commands such as "go tell your Daddy to sit at the table, tea is ready!" All that I need to get sorted now is the whole potty training, but that's just too yucky to talk about.
I don't think I've mentioned it before now, but next month is my 2nd Birthday and I will more that certainly be having a party - though Mummy will sort all that out. However this is forewarning for you all to try and keep the weekend's either side of the 10th of Feb free should you want to attend. I'll get Mummy and Daddy to start thinking about it more actively and let you all know what's going on as soon as they do (which will be the end of the month!)
Well I'm quite tired of dictating to Daddy now, so will leave you all for now.
