Hello all and welcome to what is the new 2008 (yes I know its now 2009) version of the renowned captin.co.uk website, there are as you will see many new features to this website, new sections, more words and less fish!
Those who have been visiting before will notice that there has been a major design change to the site - the old one has gone and replaced with this. Yeah it's a bit grey at the moment but that may change later, at the moment its all about getting the new features in like the blog, the new easier to update photo gallery and possibly some new recipes
Whilst this site has been created using Microsoft technology, to the surprise of a few it has been designed so that it should view the same in all modern browsers - if you have found some bizarre way that this site does not display correctly then go and find something more interesting to do than pick apart other peoples hard (or not so) work :p
If however you know who I am and how to contact me and would like to provide some CONSTRUCTIVE criticism then by all means go ahead and contact me with it.
Captin.co.uk is for both my friends and family (as entities, I have more than 1 friend and 1 surviving member of family) as well as my own amusement and fun. I've tried to ensure that everything on it works fine and displays correctly in all browsers - with no ugly 'hacks' either unlike the majority of any code I wrote at Uni!
Hopefully by visiting this site you will be able to keep track of what I have been up and possibly what I am up to (see the Blog) as well as how fat or thin I have got depending on the time of year! (see the Photo's) though it is widely understood that the vast majority of visitors this site are not visiting to see pictures of me but to see how W'em 'ead is doing. I don't mind that in the slightest, as people only visit the house now to either see either Emily, Poppy or the latest work that may have gone on! Though all visitors do say hello to me at some point, for that I am thankful.
The picture at the top, for those who are interested, was taken back on Boxing Day 2004 during a nice family walk at Aira Force and shows Ullswater and the surrounding fells, you can just make out the old steamer if you look closely above the "contact" link.
This site was created using Microsoft's Expression Web which... at this present moment in time I can not fault one bit.
The content is the authors own, it is not the opinion of those who know him, employ him or host this site. The internet is all about free speech so deal with it!
Thought I'd bring the old Twitter widget back... so here it is!
